Eleonore P. Stump, Ph.D., is the Robert J. Henle, S.J. Professor of Philosophy at Saint Louis University and current Lilly Fellow, National Humanities Center. Dr. Stump has held many academic positions, including Stob Lecturer at Calvin College and the Meade-Swing Lecturer at Oberlin College. She serves on numerous advisory and editorial boards, including as consultant to the Executive Board of the Institute for Advanced Christian Studies, as President of the Lilly Project on Religion in Higher Education, and as an editorial board member of Religious Studies and the American Philosophical Quarterly, among many others. She has authored or edited many books and articles, including: Philosophy of Religion: The Big Questions (Malden, MA: Blackwell Publishers, 1999) and Reasoned Faith (Cornell University Press, 1993). Among her many honors and awards are the Pew Senior Fellowship (1994-95); President, Society of Christian Philosophers(199-98); President, American Catholic Philosophical Association (1999-2000); and Gifford Lecturer, University of Aberdeen, Scotland (2002).
